ENGINE TRANSITION BASICS

Merckell is a Canadian manufacturer of standard and custom transition bases.

Standard transition bases allow a T-Series motor to be adapted to a U-Series electric motor base. Custom transition bases are designed to meet specific customer requirements for any electric motor format.

Each of these bases offers similar features:

• Rectification des surfaces inférieure et supérieure pour éliminer le pied
boiteux normalement induit dans la fabrication; une caractéristique de
qualité unique à Merckell.

• Préparation de surface par grenaillage et peinture cuite de série RAL 5002
avec en option de couleur personnalisée pour chaque client.
• Les bases de moteur HD et HDTP sont conçues selon les normes NEMA et
disponibles en formats 254 à 449 de série T.

Standard transition bases

Merckell's standard transition bases are designed to adapt a T-Series motor to a U-Series electric motor base. These parts are manufactured from cold-rolled steel, machined and ground to eliminate the angular foot and ensure a high-quality product. The machining is designed to allow for quick loosening and tightening of the electric motor for tensioning purposes, without any downtime.

Custom-made transition bases

Our team offers engineering, design, machining, and finishing of custom transition bases in any format, as well as for any engine assembly part.
Merckell maintains a catalog of manufacturing-ready drawings to reduce lead times. These parts are manufactured from cold-rolled steel, machined and ground in the workshop on the upper and lower surfaces to eliminate the angular foot and guarantee a high-quality product.
The machining is designed to allow loosening and tightening of the electric motor for tensioning needs, without loss of time.
